Requirements For Appointment
i) Must be a Kenyan Citizen

ii) Bachelor?s degree in any of the following disciplines; Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution

iii) Master?s degree in any of the following disciplines; Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution

iv) Be a member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya

v) Be registered by the Physical Planners Registration Board

vi) Certificate in Computer Application from a recognized institution

vii) Have a certificate in Strategic Leadership and Development Programme from a recognized institution

viii) Relevant work experience of a minimum period of five (5) years

Responsibilities

Urban areas planning and implementation, county planning, inter-county (regional) planning and implementation, overseeing the formulation of physical planning manuals, standards and guidelines; coordinating research on matters relating to strategic county projects and programmes, coordinating preparation of county, metropolitan, regional, urban and rural physical development plans; overseeing the preparation of annual state of physical planning reports; preparing and implementing strategic plans and annual work plans, facilitating continuous monitoring and evaluation of physical planning projects/programmes at the county level.
