We are looking for a dedicatedSystems Administrator / Control Room Systems Operatorto ensure smooth and secure operations of our IT infrastructure in support of mission-critical functions. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our network systems, hardware, and software to ensure uninterrupted service and data security. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, particularly in database management and network administration, who thrives in a high-activity control room environment.
Requirements
Educational Background:Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business & IT, or Computer Engineering.
Certification:Certified Network Associate (or equivalent) qualification is required.
Experience:At least 3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or systems integration within a busy database management environment.
Technical Knowledge:Proficient in enterprise databases, network security, and various computer applications.
Compliance:Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, with a demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards.
Responsibilities
Systems Operations Management:Oversee and manage daily systems operations to ensure continuous weighing and data capture activities.
Data Backup and Recovery:Perform routine data backups and maintain recovery protocols to ensure data availability and integrity.
Installation & Configuration:Install and configure software, hardware, and network devices to support operations.
Performance Monitoring:Regularly monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions for optimized performance.
Security & Efficiency:Maintain the security of the IT infrastructure by ensuring antivirus software, Windows licenses, and network security systems are updated and functioning effectively on all servers and desktops.
System Monitoring & Maintenance:Conduct systems installation, monitor for faults, and ensure systems availability throughout operational cycles.
Preventive Maintenance:Schedule and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance for all IT systems, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
Operational Support:Provide technical support to the operations teams during working hours, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
Data Management:Ensure uninterrupted data capture, secure storage, archiving, and timely dissemination of information.
User Training & Supervision:Supervise systems users and conduct training sessions to enhance their operational proficiency.
