Restaurant Cashier At Siaya County Club

DIVISION: ADMINISTRATION & GENERALDEPARTMENT: ACCOUNTINGREPORTS TO: ACCOUNTANT.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares accurate guest accounts and bills by ensuring that all charges are recorded and easily understood by guests.Supervises cash float, cash revenue, credit card vouchers, guest accounts, and balance of daily restaurant shift account.Prepares cash revenue summary, statistics of business volume and menu items ordered.Maintains current knowledge of all menu and wine list items and prices.Ensures guest accounts are handled quickly and accurately.Ensures sufficient supply of all stationery items required for efficient operation.Ensures work area is clean, organized and set for next shift.Provides assistance to guests in all hotel emergency evacuation and medical procedures.Maintains correct security procedures according to hotel policy.Reports any health or safety hazards to the Restaurant Manager.Performs other duties when directed by the Manager or accountant or finance directorADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:Reports to work station according to schedule with a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene with clean and pressed uniform and name badge as described in staff handbook.Ensures all financial transactions are recorded with accepted accounting principles and established accounting policies and procedures.Attends all staff and training meeting when directed by the Manager or Accounting Manager.SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITYCPA part 1 or its equivalent.Knowledge in Computer e.g., Word, Excel, QuickBooksKnowledge in POS system – Micros added advantageGood Public Relations1 years' experience as a cashier in a star rated hotel or comparable organization.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.Strong data analysis and reporting skills.High level of attention to detail.Customer service orientedHonesty, integrity, ethical behavior, tactfulness, opennessAbility to accept responsibility
