Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Servicing & Collections Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in debt collection and leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire a Servicing & Collections team. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of collection associates to achieve collection targets and objectives. Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts to recover outstanding debts. Conduct daily portfolio analysis, work allocation, team monitoring, and performance management. Call auditing, scoring, and having one-on-one training with junior associates Develop and implement collection strategies and action plans to optimize recovery rates and reduce delinquency. Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to update team members on collection policies, procedures, and best practices. Review and analyze collection data and metrics to identify trends, improvement areas, and optimization opportunities Check on staff attendance, timelines, and leave planning. Collaborate with other departments such as legal, compliance, and customer service to address complex issues and resolve escalated cases. Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints, and provide resolution in a timely and professional manner. Ensure the team collections procedures are ethically upright and are in line with Branch and CBK policies and regulations Motivate team members through teamwork and ensure productivity and that they are fully engaged. Conduct thorough investigations to locate and contact debtors using various communication channels. Review and analyze account information to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare reports and updates on collection activities, recovery rates, and portfolio performance for management review Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Proven experience in debt collections, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of debt collection laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with debtors and internal stakeholders. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
