DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of networks, servers, and databases to ensure smooth operations.
Regularly check system performance to identify potential issues before they arise, ensuring minimal downtime for e-commerce platforms.
Ensure the IT infrastructure is scalable and adaptable to meet the growing demands of the business.
Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure website functionality, speed, and reliability are optimized to provide the best user experience.
Implement and manage updates to the platform, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may affect sales or customer engagement.
Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications and systems, such as payment gateways, inventory management software, and CRM systems.
Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of security measures to safeguard company data and systems from cyber threats.
Ensure that all security protocols and compliance measures (such as GDPR or other applicable data protection laws) are adhered to.
Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring the company can recover quickly from any IT disruptions.
Provide timely and effective technical support to employees across departments, helping them troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Set up and maintain staff workstations, ensuring that all devices are running effectively and are properly secured.
Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized IT services when necessary.
Work with the IT Manager to plan and execute IT-related projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, software installations, or the implementation of new technologies.
Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and post-implementation reviews.
Proactively seek out ways to improve current IT processes, systems, and workflows to better support business goals.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing relevant solutions.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT management or assistant role, with a strong focus on e-commerce environments.
Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases.
Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms, preferably in system administration and platform optimization.
Familiarity with security best practices, data protection regulations, and disaster recovery planning.
