The Offer Work alongside & learn from best in class talent Fantastic work culture The Job Your responsibilities include: Assist in the development and implementation of mangrove conservation and restoration projects, in line with organizational objectives. Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of mangrove projects. Act as a liaison and maintain positive relationships. Participate in field operations, including mangrove planting, monitoring, and data collection. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Help collect and analyze data related to mangrove ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental conditions. Support in the preparation of regular project reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and achievements. Contribute to educational programs aimed at raising awareness about mangrove conservation within local communities and among project participants. Identify potential project risks and assist in developing strategies to mitigate them. Actively address any issues that arise during project implementation. Ensure projects adhere to all relevant environmental regulations and permits. Stay updated on applicable laws and best practices. Assist in Training and Skill development of interns and junior staff The Profile Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Forestry, Coastal and Marine Resource Management/ Bachelors degree with relevant experience Technical background and previous experience in developing nature-based projects specifically REDD+, WRC, IFM, ARR, and/or ALM preferably related to Mangrove. At least 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably working for GHG standards organization, NGO, government, project developer, and/or validation/verification body. Understanding of climate change mitigation strategies, climate/development finance, and an appreciation for the challenges and opportunities faced by practitioners of these arenas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders Willingness to work in the field and in challenging environmental conditions Ability to manage project partners from initial pitch through development Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Ability to work within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team Self-motivated, with the ability to work individually and within a team The Employer Our client is now a leading firm in the field of carbon project consultancy and trading.
