Position Summary
We are seeking a versatile and creative Digital Content & Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role requires a skilled individual who can create high-quality content, manage social media platforms, as well as manage designing roles. The ideal candidate will have a blend of expertise in content creation, social media management, and graphic design to elevate Sote Hub's digital presence and engage our community effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy
Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with Sote Hub's mission, goals, and brand voice.
Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media posts, blog articles, videos, infographics, and other multimedia.
Support production of creative visual assets, including promotional graphics, banners, and event materials.
Maintain a consistent and on-brand tone across all digital communications.
Social Media Management
Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of Sote Hub's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and TikTok.
Grow and engage our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
Develop content calendars and schedule posts to maintain consistent online engagement.
Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to ensure our content is fresh and impactful.
Graphic Design & Branding
Create high-quality graphics, including promotional banners, social media posts, and marketing collateral.
Ensure visual consistency across all online platforms by adhering to Sote Hub's branding guidelines.
Design assets for internal and external communications, events, and campaigns.
Campaign Management
Collaborate with external and internal teams to create and execute digital marketing campaigns.
Monitor key performance indicators for social media platforms, content, and campaigns.
Use data insights to optimize content and campaigns, ensuring higher engagement and reach.
Liaise with startups, SMEs, donors, supporters and other stakeholders to bring out their voice in our media campaigns including arranging for interviews.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with the programs and innovations teams to align social media and content strategies with broader organizations projects and programs goals.
Provide regular reports on social media performance, including engagement rates, follower growth, and content impact.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience managing social media platforms or communications for a brand or organization.
Proven ability to create compelling content for media and digital platforms.
Excellent storytelling and content creation skills, including photography and video editing.
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva.) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
Strong understanding of platform-specific algorithms and trends.
