Disaster Management Officers - 2 Posts At County Government Of Nandi

Requirements for Appointment:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
Bachelor's Degree disaster management or an equivalent from a recognized institution;
Must have 3 years' experience in served in disaster management, preferably fire stations;
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya,2010 clearances

Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in emergency planning including fire disaster management
Ensure that there is sound disaster preparedness program which is alert and ready to offer to offer quickest disaster response
Undertake fire safety training and drills in all county establishments
Ensure total compliance to the workplace safety standards emergency fire equipment are in place in all county government buildings
Prepare the firefighting team and equipment for quick response to fire and other disasters in the county
Act as a duty officer as part of the 24 hours duty system, responding as they may arise
