Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis and reporting at Tibu Health. This role involves managing budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of healthcare finance, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Cash flow projections and planning
Develop and oversee financial planning and budgeting processes for Tibu Health.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Budget Management:
Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with Tibu Health's strategic goals.
Perform variance analysis to identify and address budget discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific financial regulations and accounting standards.
Compliance and Controls:
Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
Oversee adherence to healthcare financial regulations and industry guidelines.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow and working capital to support operational needs.
Forecast cash flow requirements and recommend strategies to optimise liquidity.
Cost Management:
Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Monitor and evaluate financial performance against benchmarks and industry standards.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor finance staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Strategic Support:
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Tibu Health's objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and development.
Tax
Manage the monthly tax obligations
Coordinate with an external tax consultant for income tax computation.
Annual Audit
Coordinate the annual audit process as necessary; liaise with external auditors as necessary.
Support the annual financial statement audit by compiling the required audit schedules and documentation required.
Payroll
Executing payroll and ensuring statutory compliance.
Additional finance duties as necessary.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager.
Experience in managing finances in a healthcare organisation preferred.
Over 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
In-depth understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Proven ability to prepare financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing processes.
Experience working in the insurance or claims management sector is an added advantage.
Proficient in accounting software and administrative tasks.
