Finance Manager - Manufacturing At Corporate Staffing

Key Responsibilities:Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as invoicing, purchases receipting, and other transactions.Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements like management accounts monthlyAvoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.Oversee and drive efficiency in the production process.Provide leadership in the finance departmentProtects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.Produce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsSpearhead daily and monthly stock takeAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusReview and suggest ways to improve the overall efficiency and spending of the companyReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresSpearhead debt collection and ensure the debt level is well managedBalance the debt and credit levels of the company and ensure smooth operationPrepare the company's annual budget and manage monthly departmental budgetsParticipate in financial standards setting and in the forecast processProvide input into the department's goal setting processPrepare financial statements and produce budgets according to scheduleOversee tax audits and tax returnsDirect internal and external audits to ensure complianceSupport daily, month-end and year-end close processDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with Company policies and Departmental Standard Operating ProceduresEnsure proper daily filling and archiving of all finance department documents.Liaise with the management to improve financial proceduresQualifications:A Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, or related degree with a major in accounting.Certified Accountant CPA (K) or ACCA qualification.Seven (7) of years progressive working experience in the Manufacturing IndustryGood knowledge of accounting, auditing, and financial and management reporting.Computer literacy and computerized accounting experience.Knowledge and experience in working with accounting packages. – SageStrong decision-making abilities.Strong analytical and planning skills
