WHAT YOU WILL DOAs a lecturer, you will be responsible for coordinating and teaching several courses with the option to design your own course within your chosen area of focus.Scope of the role:TeachingSetting exams & InvigilationStudent mentorshipCurriculum developmentYour key Responsibilities:To teach at a diploma level in areas allocated by the Head of Academic AffairsTo contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculumTo assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor students' records, achievements and attendance.To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at building inter-disciplinary collaboration within the department.To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessmentsTo provide pastoral care and support to studentsTo participate in the administration of the department's program of study and other activities as requested.Any other duties as may be assigned by managementTHE SKILLS AND COMPETENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Areas of Specialization/related field of study3-5 years proven experience teaching at post-secondary levelProficiency in Microsoft office suites especially PowerPointA deep understanding of commitment to and involvement in hospitality industryKey Skills and Personal AttributesStrong knowledge of subject areas combined with a broad subject backgroundExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsProven record of ability to manage time and work to strict deadlinesAbility to work collaborativelyCommitment to continuous professional developmentExcellent leadership and management skills
