Position Summary
We seek a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our human resources function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, policy development, and compliance with labor laws. This role is critical to fostering a positive work environment, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and supporting Sote Hub's mission through strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection.
Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization.
Employee Relations and Engagement
Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes collaboration, inclusion, and employee satisfaction.
Address employee concerns and grievances promptly and professionally.
Plan and implement employee engagement programs, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives.
Performance Management
Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Provide support and coaching to managers and employees for performance improvement and career development.
Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
HR Policy Development and Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and Kenyan labor laws.
Ensure compliance with employment regulations and handle legal matters related to HR.
Maintain and update employee records in accordance with data protection laws.
Compensation and Benefits
Manage payroll processes in collaboration with the finance department.
Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance and leave management.
Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitive compensation packages.
HR Strategy and Reporting
Develop and execute HR strategies that align with Sote Hub's mission and objectives.
Analyze HR metrics and provide regular reports to management on workforce trends, retention, and other key indicators.
Contribute to organizational planning and decision-making as part of the leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
Professional HR certification (e.g. CHRP or SHRM) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HR software and tools for record-keeping and reporting.
