The positionWe are looking for a passionateDP Teacher of Economics and MYP Teacher of Humanitiesto join an experienced team of IB educators in the Individuals and Society /Humanities department. The Teacher will be responsible for effective delivery of lessons and raising the standards of students achievement in Economics and Humanities, monitoring and supporting students progress as well as supervising Internal Assessment, Personal Project and Extended Essay. Duty & ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a passion for their subject that serves to motivate and encourage students to attain their personal best.Design engaging learning and assessment activities that develop deep understanding.Support students to be confident thinkers in a safe learning environment.Plan collaboratively with colleagues to design the MYP/DP units that effectively deliver the programmesMonitor and track student progress.Act as a Personal Project and Extended Essay supervisor.Act as a form tutor/mentor to guide and support a small group of studentsContribute to the development of enrichment / co-curricular and experiential activities.The requirementsA minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a recognized UniversityMust have a TSC Certificate or an internationally recognized teaching qualification or a BEd / MEdExperienced in teaching Economics for at least 3 years at DP Level and 2 years in teaching MYP HumanitiesGenuine interest in and commitment to the mission of the Aga Khan Academies
