About the Client:
A busy medium-sized law firm based in Thika seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Advocate to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation with a bias towards conveyancing matters.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Represent clients in court proceedings, ensuring calm and effective arguments.
Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other court documents.
Manage case files and court schedules diligently.
Prepare, review, and finalize conveyancing documents, including sale agreements, leases, and transfers.
Conduct due diligence on properties and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Advise clients on land transactions and legal implications.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and updates.
Offer sound legal advice tailored to clients' needs.
Conduct in-depth legal research to support cases and conveyancing matters.
Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of legal documents.
Attend court hearings and effectively represent clients\' interests.
Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
Qualifications & Requirements
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 1–2 years post-admission experience.
Previous experience in a busy, medium-sized law firm.
Proven expertise in litigation and conveyancing matters.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to argue cases persuasively.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
Must be located in Thika or its environs.
