Duties of the Audit Committee
The main function of the audit committee shall be to —
Support the accounting officer with regard to their responsibilities for issues of risk, control and governance and associated assurance: Provided that the responsibility over the management of risk, control and governance processes remains with the management of the concerned county government entity; and
Follow up on the implementation of the recommendations of internal and external auditors.

Member, County Executive Audit Committee (3 Posts)
The applicant should:
Be a Kenyan citizen
Have Bachelor's degree in any of the following: –Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Procurement, Human Resource Management, Law or any other related field from a University recognized in Kenya;
Possess at least 5 years' experience in the public or private sector at a senior level;
Have a thorough understanding of the relevant legislations, best practices and emerging issues in Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Human Resource Management, Procurement, Law and other related fields.
Have a good understanding of Government operations and financial management system; and
Be a person of integrity, demonstrated professional competence and strong interpersonal skills.
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
