Arrangements of various inputs, such as logistical constraints, production requirements, feed physical quality, raw material quality and prices and nutritional requirements. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Ensures least cost Formulation of established products using our formulation software in accordance with nutritional values. Formulates diets and rations within prescribed standards to maximise growth, reproduction, health and/or performance of animals.Carries out formulation audits to look for opportunities.Supports development of new products with marketing and salesInforms purchasing about the quality performance of raw materials by suppliers.Collect all analysis data and report to management; in case of deviation take action on the indication of senior nutritionist.Providing instructions to production per formula for labelling, packaging, following the pre-agreed principles of sales and NutritionistUnderstands nutritional concepts standards and uses this knowledge to compile products that maximize animal health and performance, and assures timely reformulation to meet nutrient and ingredient specifications with raw materials available at the manufacturing location.Proactive collaboration with production team to align on formulation and production parameters.Takes care that the raw materials and final products are analyzed and checked according to the analysis plan set by nutritional department.Provides input for demand planning and forecasting working together with Commercial and Procurement and Unga for raw materials availability.Ensuring accurate plant level implementation of formulations and overall compliance of all products.Quality Control management working in concert with Procurement and the Quality Assurance DepartmentsWorking closely with Commercial to support customers on nutritional advisory through farm visits and trainings.Pro-actively work with stakeholders and advise back on alternative raw materials for quality enhancement and cost reduction. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Minimum bachelor's degree in Aquaculture or Animal Sciences. Preferable two (2) years' relevant working experiencePreferable knowledge of Feed Formulation using software. Computer literacy with advanced Spreadsheet knowledgeDemonstrate analytical skills.Attention to detail.Commercial acumen will be an added advantage.
