The candidate should have excellent project management skills, in organising, planning, and executing projects with precision, leveraging leading project management tools and methodologies to monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure on-time delivery of objectives. With a strong foundation in the principles of project management, this individual excels in breaking down complex tasks into manageable activities, aligning project timelines with strategic goals, and facilitating effective communication across diverse teams.While a good understanding of clean energy deployment, project financing, and public procurement is valuable, the most important aspect is the candidate's proven experience in project management within the non-profit or energy sector, demonstrating a capacity to effectively support high-level initiatives and streamline processes.If you like challenges, you are passionate about renewable energy and you are looking for a job with a meaningful impact in scaling up clean energy systems in the world while contributing to fighting climate change in a significant way, RELP will be a great fit for you!HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:The Project Manager Specialist, will play a crucial role in supporting the Director for Country Engagement & Partnership and the Regional Programme Managers improving the effectiveness of RELP engagement in various target countries. This position is designed for an individual who is experienced in project management, skilled in coordination and communication and passionate about renewable energy. The Project Manager Specialist will be responsible for effective coordination between the Director of Country Engagement & Partnership, RELP Regional Programme Managers and Country-level personnel, effectively managing follow up activities with government bodies, partners and other key stakeholders. This responsibility includes supporting the Director of Country Engagement & Partnership and the Regional Programme Managers drafting proposals and relevant documentation (NDAs, MoUs, Work Plans, presentations) needed throughout different engagement phases, and contributing to strategic initiatives to enhance RELP impact, leveraging collaboration with key partners. Key Responsibilities:Assist in developing and implementing strategies for engaging with governments and partners in line with RELP's mission.Coordinate engagement activities and initiatives with target governments and partners to ensure timely and efficient execution.Liaise with government officials, multilateral development banks (MDBs), Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and other partners to foster strong relationships and collaboration.Support the preparation and execution of cooperation, partnership agreements, work plans, and other relevant documents.Contribute to the identification and assessment of opportunities for expanding RELP's engagement and impact in targeted countries and regions.Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders to maximise synergies and outcomes.Monitor and report on the progress of projects and initiatives, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.Coordinate with the iTrust team and the Regional Programme Managers for constant interaction and collaboration on the various activities.Ensure adherence to RELP's values and commitment to renewable energy and climate change mitigation.WHAT YOU WILL BRING:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management (PM), Business Administration or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in international development, technical assistance, renewable energy or related fields.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government entities, partners, and stakeholders.Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in the use of PM tools and platforms.Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships and collaborations.Familiarity with clean energy technologies, project financing, and public procurement is advantageous.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.Proficiency in English and French are required; additional languages are a plus.PREFERRED SKILLS:Previous experience working for MDBs, DFIs or large nonprofits and NGO is considered a plus.
