Research Assistants At African Population And Health Research Center (Aphrc)

Duties/ResponsibilitiesAdminister online survey usingKoBo Collector related program.Conduct in-depth interviews and focus group interviews with select study participants.Transcribe verbatim audio recordings from interviews.Data entry, review and edit to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.Collection and collation of research data from different sources like online surveys. Perform administrative tasks related to the project.Qualifications & Experience:Master's degree in Gender and Development Studies, Education, Population Studies/Demography, Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics, or related discipline (A Bachelor's degree in these fields coupled with adequate experience is acceptable).At least two years' experience in research field work including data collection, managing data collection teams, and data analysisProven quantitative data collection and analysis skills, with familiarity with related analysis packages STATA, SPSS, R. Proven qualitative data collection and analysis skills, with familiarity with related analysis packages Nvivo or Atlas ti.Ability to work independently, set priorities, multitask, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse team.
