Job objectiveAs the Senior Mechanic, you will be in responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles.Your tasks and responsibilitiesHandling transport and workshop department repairs as instructed by the transport / workshop manager.Repairing and maintaining all motor vehicles, tractors, and farm machineries.Repairing and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, pumps, and other mechanical components.Troubleshooting skills to identify the root causes of mechanical problems and develop effective solutions to resolve them efficiently.Simple motor vehicle servicesWorkshop MaintenanceHandling workshop tools and equipment's i.e. allocation of dutiesAny other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor, manager, or senior management.Your profileDegree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive technology or a related field is preferred.5-10 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance in a senior mechanic position.Extensive experience as a senior mechanic, preferably in a variety of automotive or mechanical settings.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.Experience with computerized diagnostic systems and software.Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques may be required.Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.Certifications will be an added advantage, especially in areas such as engine repair, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, and suspension/steering.
