Location Mombasa, Shimanzi Key Responsibilities: • Debtors and creditors management and reconciliation
• Sending out customer statements and debt follow up
• Posting and managing petty cash expenditures
• Reconciling and posting purchase invoices
• Generating Tax Invoices
• Raising sales invoices
• Preparing supplier's payments
• Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions
• Assisting in preparing and filing tax returns and compliance documents.
• Providing administrative support to the finance department as needed.
• Reviewing monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accounting discrepancies and irregularities are resolved promptly
• Checking the Daily Banking Statements for reconciliations
• Supporting in the preparation and facilitation of internal and external audits, and ensuring all audit findings are followed-up and addressed promptly.
• Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Requirements • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or CPA part 4 and Above
• Proficiency in computer packages
• Knowledge accounting softwares
• Proven experience (2-3 years) as an Accounts Assistant or similar role, preferably in the warehousing industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Good communication, interpersonal and team skills.
• Flexibility to work additional hours during month-end or peak periods.
• Sound knowledge of financial operations and reporting.
• Proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of conflict management.
• Ability to work under pressure.
Package Gross salary 40-45k
