About Special Education Professionals (SEP) Special Education Professionals (SEP) is an organization of therapists and special needs teachers who work in a multidisciplinary team, applying a transdisciplinary approach. SEP operates in Nairobi and selected rural areas. SEP is a non-profitable body. It was founded in 1990 and registered as a society in Kenya in 2001. SEP is unique, as its members work with education and healthcare professionals from all over the world, learning from other views and approaches, while striving for a common goal. SEP is driven by the aspiration of a holistic approach in improving the life of children with disabilities and their families. The main thrust of SEP's work in this regard concerns on-going capacity building of families, caregivers, community health volunteers (CHV) and professionals, using a transdisciplinary approach. SEP Vision An inclusive society where children with disabilities are actively participating in their families and communities, providing them equal opportunities to reach their fullest potential and live a quality life. The Role You will be responsible for : Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence. Support the coordination of meetings, consultations and events, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. Help maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including membership lists, projects lists etc. Support the development and implementation of communication strategies, including social media, website updates, and newsletters. File annual returns and update society changes (e.g., change of office bearers) at the Registrar of Societies. Main the SEP library database and assets register, ensuring accurate records of borrowed and returned items. Clean and maintain the office space regularly. Provide general support to staff as needed. Ideal Profile Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. What's on Offer?
