Ref. MU/ADM/05/4/2024Duties and ResponsibilitiesAn officer at this level will be responsible for:Drafting of legal documents and handling cases involving the University in liaison with University external lawyers;Advising the University on all legal matters;Writing reports and memoranda; andPerforming any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.Requirements for Direct AppointmentFor appointment to this position, a candidate must:Have Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university;Have Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice; andBe an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate.Requirements for Serving OfficersFor appointment to this position, an officer must: -Have Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university.Have at least three (3) years experience as a Legal Assistant II Seale 7/8 or its equivalent; andHave shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance.
