Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Sales We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Sales. As the AVP of Sales, you will be responsible for driving our sales efforts and contributing to the growth and success of our company.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure their success.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Understand client needs and industry trends to tailor solutions and provide exceptional service.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about the competitive landscape.
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure a seamless sales process and effective communication.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Track sales metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
Stay up-to-date with the latest sales techniques and industry trends to continuously enhance sales skills and knowledge.
Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven track record of 10-20 years in sales, with a consistent history of meeting or exceeding targets.
Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage a diverse team and drive collaboration and motivation.
Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of sales strategies and techniques.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as required.
