What we are looking for We are looking for an experienced and results driven Business Development Executive to build upon our existing relationships, develop new channels of business and grow our partnership base and revenue. With extensive experience across multiple countries in Africa in the education or public policy sector, this person will be responsible for achieving B2B targets and will work with the marketing and outreach teams to create and implement successful campaigns and events to develop and support business opportunities with individuals, organizations and partnership relationships. The role requires a self-directed individual who is motivated by commercial results and has experience in the education sector. What does the job involve You will be reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and have key relationships with the Director of Outreach & Strategy, Chief Financial Officer and Deans of the undergraduate and graduate programs. Upon joining, you will work with recruitment teams, managed by the Director of Outreach + Strategy, which comprises 10 individuals based across the continent. You will also be responsible for: Acquiring new corporate clients and key partnerships from inside Africa in order to achieve annual targets for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. Developing and executing a strategy to achieve the agreed revenue targets for programmes, corporate client relationships and third-party relationships. Developing negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations. Identifying trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements and building market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships. Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials. Evaluating options and resolve internal priorities, recommend equity investments, and examine risks and potentials for business opportunities. Estimating partners' needs and goals, closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations. Responsible for building/managing a task force of business developers across the continent Finance and Resource Management: Work with Director of Outreach + Strategy to closely manage program pipelines and forecast to ensure target participant and revenue numbers are met. Negotiate, manage and administer contracts with corporate clients Ensure detailed understanding of undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio. Analysis, Reporting & Documentation: Maintain and manage customer relationship information using Salesforce. Work closely with Marketing Director to ensure effective ROOI on marketing spend set against campaigns Qualifications A bachelor's degree or a master's degree (Desirable) Fluency in English and French (desirable) 2+ years of B2B and/or B2C sales with a proven track record in business development environment within an African context Evidence of using a consultative sales approach within a commercial environment Proven experience of working to and successfully achieving revenue targets Benefits Performance bonus Monthly Internet Stipend
