Audit Assistant At Othaya Mukurweni Water Services

Key Responsibilities
Review internal control systems and make necessary recommendations.
Regular auditing of staff; claims i.e. imprest forms and Payment vouchers, filing system, annual leaves and customer complaints.
Auditing daily operating processes by checking daily stores issues and their destination, process of goods received, work tickets and the effectiveness of tools register.
Check, monitor and analyze financial reports and give recommendation under the guidance of the internal auditor
Confirming the relevance of casuals' engagement and reconciliation of casuals engaged vs the amount of woks done.
Monitor and assess management's progress on past audit results and report related follow-up to the internal Auditor.
Carry out visits to the company's clients, in liaison with the internal auditor and make recommendations, flagging clients' controls which need improvement.
Producing departmental monthly reports on operating systems and recommendations and reporting to the internal auditor by 10th of every month.
Assist with the development of the annual audit plan, including identification and assessment of the company's key risks;

Job Specifications
Kenya Accounting Technician Diploma (KATD) certificate
CPA part two
Report writing and analytical skills
Proficiency in basic computer applications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in auditing preferably in an internal audit department of a busy institution. (experience in a water company is an added advantage)
