ROLE SUMMARY
Join our dynamicteam as a Benefits Eligibility Verifier, where you will play a crucial role in verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility with insurance providers using the organization's billing software and various online payor systems. This role ensures that all insurance information, including primary and secondary coverage, is accurate and up-to-date. The position involves analyzing insurance data, entering updates into the system, and making necessary corrections to ensure proper billing and claims processing
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility with insurance providers through billing software and payor websites.
Ensure that patient accounts are correctly marked with primary and secondary insurance designations.
Enter new or updated insurance information for assigned patient accounts within the provided document/system.
Identify discrepancies or issues with insurance data (e.g., incorrect coverage or outdated information) and make corrections as necessary within the billing system.
Conduct verification and benefit investigations with insurance companies, ensuring adherence to criteria and complete documentation.
Manage, record, verify, and update patient and insurance data from various sources.
Perform other tasks involving data entry as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
1+ years of medical insurance eligibility verification, billing, and benefits screening experience preferred
Familiarity with billing software and health insurance systems. Experience with payor websites is highly beneficial.
Outstanding phone Communication skills (Inbound & Outbound) experienced from Call Centre role in English
Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Excel, and payor websites.
Ability to understand and comprehend Medical Terminologies.
Flexible to accommodate Night shift and must be staying within or ready to relocate to Kitengela, Athi River, or Mlolongo.
