QUALIFICATIONS
Be a Kenyan Citizen;
Have a Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Climate Change, Natural Resource Management and/or Environmental Conservation or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Must have minimum 5 years experience in the relevant field;
Must meet Leadership and Intergrity criteria under Chapter (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010;
Not a holder of any political office; and
Not a state officer;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Board shall:
Approve County Climate Change Budget;
Allocate resources in line with the legal and constitutional requirements of equity;
Mainstream climate change projects, programmes and activities in county planning and budgeting, and ensure their approval and inclusion in the county integrated development plan;
Monitor disbursements;
Oversee budget execution;
Oversee implementation of climate programmes and projects;
Monitor and evaluate climate change programmes and projects;
Provide links between the steering committees, the county treasury and County Assembly:
Coordinate capacity building at ward and county level;
Be responsible for financing cross ward and cross county climate change programmes; and Mobilize funds.
