Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
Provides operational leadership and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of hospital ancillary support and non-nursing clinical service areas such as quality, infection prevention, safety, regulatory compliance, nutritional services, facilities, laundry, housekeeping, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, and rehabilitation
Overseeing a hospital's daily operations;
Ensuring high levels of ongoing patient care;
Coordinating department operations so that each department works well and in synergy with other departments as a facet of holistic hospital operations; ,Ensures the hospital complies with Government of Kenya policies and procedures as well as standards by external regulatory bodies for the provision of care;
Participates in the development of the long-term strategic goals/plans and implements the objectives necessary to fulfil the mission /vision of the hospital;
Promotes the integration of all patient care services;
Collaborates with the clinical department to develop written clinical policies and procedures; !
Participates in the development and monitoring of the hospital's Quality Improvement Plan;
Participates in the development of the hospital's budget;
Ensure efficiency in the management of the Hospital;
Monitor staff compliance with job duties; and
Performs other duties assigned.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Kenyan Citizenship;
Master's degree in a health-related course from a recognized university in Kenya,
Bachelor's degree in a health-related course from a recognized university in Kenya and
Experience of not less than 10 years in the public/private sector.
