Chief Physical Planner - 2 Posts At Laikipia County Government

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail; - overseeing drawing/digitization of County, Metropolitan. Regional, Urban and Rural Physical Development Plan including preparation of base maps; authenticating Physical Development Plans, issuing and ensuring efficient and effective use of drawing/digitization equipment, preparing requisition for acquisition of technical equipment and materials, compiling work plans and work schedules, identifying sources of physical planning work planning data and training and supervising of staff working under him/her.
Requirements for Appointment
Have a Bachelor's degree in any of the following discipline: -Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution;
Membership to the Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter);
Be a corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter);
Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than three (3) years in professional field;
Demonstrate competency and ability required to handle technical and administrative matters at this level; and,
Have a certificate in computer application skills
Possession of a Master's degree will be an added advantage
