Job Title Clinical Officer - Dermatologist Reports to Doctor In-Charge Department Clinical Operations Business Purpose/Objective The job holder will be primarily responsible for consulting with patients and determining skin ailments, prescribing medication and undertaking skin therapy treatment.

Education Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery - Dermatology Hold a valid active practicing license from the local Clinical Officer Council. Any added clinical certificates will be an added advantage.
Experience Position holder should have at least 2 years' experience in a busy environment.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements Proficiency with dermatological tools such as comedone extractors, lancet extractors, and cryogens.
Ability to conduct various dermatological procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical reasoning skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care Conduct thorough skin examinations to diagnose skin diseases and conditions.
Develop and implement treatment plans for various dermatological issues.
Perform dermatological surgical procedures for skin treatments.
Consultations Provide consultations for skin-related concerns and educate patients about skin health, prevention, and treatment options.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
Document all procedures performed and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Research and Education Stay updated on the latest dermatological research, treatments, and technologies.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Carrying out routine skin care education to the clients.
Patient Management Follow up with patients regarding their treatment progress and adjust plans as necessary.
Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care.
Other Duties Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time.
