The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial strategies to increase market share and revenue streams. This role involves managing key partnerships, overseeing sales and marketing efforts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the online transport and mobility industry and be passionate about driving business growth in an evolving marketplace.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the company's goals, focusing on revenue generation, market penetration, and customer retention.
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for expansion within Kenya and across East Africa, conducting market research, analyzing competition, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Sales & Marketing Leadership:Lead the sales and marketing teams to drive user acquisition, growth, and engagement. Ensure effective campaigns and initiatives that increase brand visibility and user base.
Partnership Development: Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including fleet operators, corporate clients, government bodies, and other partners.
Revenue Management: Develop pricing models, business development initiatives, and revenue streams to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Customer Experience:Collaborate with operations teams to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, with a focus on user feedback, service improvements, and loyalty programs.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on KPIs, including revenue growth, market share, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Provide leadership, direction, and support to ensure the successful execution of all commercial activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within the mobility, technology, or logistics sectors.
Proven experience in market expansion, business development, and partnership management.
Strong understanding of the East African market, with experience working in the region being highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical skills.
A track record of driving growth and achieving revenue targets.
