Specific Responsibilities:Under the overall supervision of the head of the Sustainable Mobility Unit, and the direct supervision of the Programme Manager for Active Mobility, Digitalization & Transport Integration and in close consultation with focal points from the Sustainable Mobility team and Communications team the Communication Consultant will be responsible for the overall coordination and timely provision of key sustainable mobility communication products. Specifically, the consultant will: Prepare 1 Electric Mobility Communication Strategy and work plan for 2024 – 2025. Develop 1 Event/campaign calendar for 2024 – 2025. Prepare 6 Blog/Press/Web articles on the Global Electric Mobility Project/Sustainable Mobility Project Prepare 1 Infographics Kit for Sustainable Mobility Develop 2 Newsletters on Sustainable Mobility Prepare 1 Slide Deck on Sustainable Mobility Prepare 1 Media Kit on Sustainable MobilityQualifications/Special SkillsAdvanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in journalism/communication, urban development, sustainable development, public policy, or a related field is required. A first level degree with additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. A minimum of 2 years' experience in communication activities including support with communications strategy and workplan creation, development of communication assets such as social media, presentations, fact sheets, blogs, etc and experience of writing communication materials is required. Prior experience working for the United Nations, or another international organization is required. Prior experience working with government organizations in the global south is required. Communication related experience in sustainable mobility (particularly electric mobility) is highly desirable.Deadline: May 6, 2024
