We are seeking an experienced and talented professional to deliver Security Risk Consulting (SRC) projects and other support to the wider Crisis Security Consulting (CSC) team.
As a Nairobi based Consultant, you will be client-focused in helping our clients build secure and resilient organisations.
You will support clients and other team members to deliver a range of security risk consulting services.
This is a regional role and will see you travelling to other countries in East Africa.
You will also support growing the business through the identification of opportunities and other business development activities.
Undertake short-term or long-term projects to address a variety of issues and needs Use interviews, surveys etc.
to collect necessary data Replenish knowledge of industry, products and field Ensure requests from clients and prospect clients are dealt with effectively Meet with management or appropriate staff to understand their requirements Present and explain findings to appropriate executives Provide advice or suggestions for improvement according to objectives Formulate plans to implement recommendations and overcome objections Evaluate the situation periodically and make adjustments when needed Undertaking fee earning consultancy, including but not limited to security vulnerability assessments (site/project/supply-chain/business), audits and planning focused tasks.
In addition, you may be required to support security risk workshops, intrusion testing, crisis management support, business continuity consulting and other security consulting tasks Support consultancy assignments in scoping, proposal writing, delivery and reporting Ensure that practices, policies, strategies and services are fully aligned with client needs Support maintenance of client relationships; act in conjunction with consultants and key account managers Client liaison in order to develop client relationships and develop new business Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget and to the highest standards Coordination and support to regional tasks as necessary Requirements Knowledge and Experience Proven success in a comparable role Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting professional delivery with a focus on quality Experience in drafting security and crisis management proposals & plans as well as security reviews and risk assessments Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to compile quality products for clients in whichever format is required Knowledge of ISO 31000 and risk assessment methodology Proven ability to multi-task and balance competing requirements against demanding timelines Capacity to also work with minimal supervision and under their own initiative Creative and analytical problem-solving skills Proven experience as consultant Thorough knowledge of field of expertise and willingness to keep abreast of advancements Ability to develop detailed proposals and plans Excellent organizational and coordination skills Excellent English Analytical and creative A great listener with the ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines Outstanding work ethic and integrity Benefits Control Risks offers a competitively positioned compensation and benefits package that is transparent and summarised in the full job offer.
