Job Summary:
The role will be responsible for acquiring new to bank credit card clients, cross selling to existing card clients and ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation and regulations. The role holder will also play a pivotal role in driving the growth of credit card products within the Bank.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
The Incumbent will report to the Sales Manager Credit Card Sales and will be responsible for:
New to Bank Credit Card Client Acquisition
Actively prospect and approach potential customers to promote credit cards products offered by the Bank
Conducting cold calls, door to door visits and participating in sales and marketing events to generate leads and acquire new card clients
Educating potential customers on the features, benefits, terms and conditions of credit card products to facilitate informed decision making.
Cross Selling to Existing Clients
Identifying opportunities to cross sell additional credit card products to existing clients
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and offer appropriate solutions.
Customer Documentation and Compliance
Collecting and submittong all required customer documentation for onboarding new card clients, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Providing necessary declarations and disclosures to customers in accordance with I&M Bank's policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines set forth by the Central Bank of Kenya.
Sales Targets and Reporting
Meeting or exceeding sales targets set by the Card Sales Manager through effective sales techniques and relationship building.
Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and pipeline management for reporting purposes.
Customer Service and Relationship Management
Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
Person specifications
Diploma/Degree in a business-related field
Relevant work experience as a Sales Representative, preferably in credit card sales.
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Excellent selling, negotiation, and strong communication skills
Strong understanding of card products and banking services.
Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
Ability to deliver excellent customer experience to ensure sustainable organic growth of ETB / NTB customers.
