Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and analytical Director of Finance to join our dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a key member of our executive leadership, you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy and driving our organization's growth.
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term objectives
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to guide strategic decision-making
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting functions
Analyze financial data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other financial stakeholders
Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls to safeguard company assets
Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Collaborate with other department heads to align financial objectives with overall business goals
Present financial reports and recommendations to the board of directors and senior management

Qualifications
Proven track record with 8-10 years of experience as a Director of Finance or in a similar senior financial leadership role
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and best practices, with a focus on international operations
Strong understanding of Kenyan financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements
Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning
Proficiency in MS Office suite and advanced financial management software
Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse finance team
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
Fluency in English or other local languages is a plus
