Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research Assistants to join our team for a short term assignment. The Research Assistant will support our research efforts by collecting data and assisting in various stages of research projects. The ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for research, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct surveys, interviews and Focussed Group Discussions or other data collection activity as instructed by the Company.
Record accurate and complete data in accordance with the research protocols provided by the company.
Submit all data collected at the end of each day of data collection to the supervisor or coordinator.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information obtained during the research.
Collaborate with the company's research team as necessary to achieve project objectives while handling the company property eg tablets with care
Attend training sessions, meetings and conduct pilot testing as required by the company
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related field from a recognised institution.
Previous experience in conducting educational research with a bias in education and socio-emotional learning, proficiency in research methodologies quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis is required
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Flexibility to work at the ASAL areas ie Kakuma and Dadaab.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Should abide by the Child Protection Act of Kenya and the EDU child protection policy to safeguard children from abuse.
Selected candidates will be required to have a certificate of good conduct.
