Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Ii - 13 Posts At County Government Of Nandi

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:
Working in a Basic Life Support unit as a patient attendant or an ambulance operator (driver);
Assessing patients and establishing their emergency medical care needs;
Planning and implementing care interventions;
Administration of basic medication to provide better outcomes; and
Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment and ensuring safe custody of patients' belongings.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Served in the grade of Emergency Medical Technician - Basic III, for a minimum period of two (2) years;
Certificate of completion in Emergency Medical Technician -Basic Course or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized training institution;
Certificate in Emergency Vehicle Operations Course and a valid class BCE driver's license with Public Service Vehicle license;
A valid practicing license / operating card from a recognized licensing institution;
Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution; and
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
