The Role
St Andrew's, Turi, is looking for a committed and capable Emergency Medicine Response Coordinator. The Emergency Medicine Response Coordinator will be required to work full time member of the School Community. The EMRC will be under the Nurse/Administrator and will play an essential role in the School's medical team helping to provide first aid treatment.
The day-to-day duties will require the Emergency Medicine Response Coordinator to provide first aid treatment to students and staff members and to train the School community in First Aid provision. The Emergency Medicine Response Coordinator will be expected to participate in providing assistance in sporting and outdoor activities including assessing staff and students following any injuries. He/She will also be required to ensure compliance with the Kenya Medical Board and Pharmacy Board advisory and all other health laws.

Essential to working with us are:
Holder of a Nurse Aide Certificate or Advanced First Aid Training Certificate
Certification as a Frist Aid Trainer
Attention to detail with a high degree of integrity and able to keep strict confidence in the work environment
Excellent communication skills, including in difficult situations
Ability to use email, MS office and other IT systems to record and communicate information.
Flexibility in working patterns where required for clinical need.
Desirable
Experience working in an international boarding school
Experience working as a First Aid Trainer
Recent First Aid Training
Qualifications in Basic Life Support.
Any other expertise in the medical field will be an added advantage.
