Our client in Naivasha, is seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher for Key Stage 2 & 3. In this role, you will bring English and Literature to life, inspiring and motivating students to develop a deep appreciation for the subject. Your engaging and dynamic lessons will foster critical thinking and a love for reading, making a significant impact on your students' academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain an engaging learning environment conducive to student growth.
Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and needs.
Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and respect.
Integrate cross-curricular links to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of English Literature.
Provide mentorship and guidance to support students' academic and personal development.
Stay updated with advancements in literature and educational methodologies to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve the English curriculum and teaching practices.
Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
Attend and represent the school at seminars, workshops, and professional development sessions.
Conduct constructive parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and address concerns.
Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and events to enrich student development.
Utilize digital tools and resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Analyze student performance data to make informed instructional decisions.
Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies and procedures.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student learning.
Fulfill assigned duties in the school duty roster, including teacher on duty responsibilities.
Any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree with English & Literature specialization.
2 years of experience in teaching the British Curriculum.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Ability to encourage a love of reading and critical thinking.
Passionate about teaching and student development.
