This positions key responsibilities are:
Co-develop with vendor and approve engineering design, timelines, costs and milestones for pre-commissioning activities and track progress against targets. Ensure accurate, efficient reporting.
Oversee equipment installation, trial runs, troubleshoot operational issues and fine-tune processes to achieve optimal performance for full-scale production.
Co-Develop tomato processing standard operating procedures (SOPs) including sanitation and hygiene protocols. Ensure consistent quality and safety standards are met.
Secure all required permits and certifications for factory operations, ensuring compliance and readiness for production.
Ensure an optimized organizational structure with the right people in the right positions to achieve productivity targets.
EDUCATION AND COLLATERAL REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in engineering, Food Science, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university. MBA is an added advantage.
At least ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in project management and factory operations, preferably in the food processing industry.
Strong technical knowledge of food processing equipment, automation systems, and facility design principles.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards for food manufacturing, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO certifications.
Proficiency in project management tools and software for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
Hands-on experience in factory setup, commissioning, and optimization is highly desirable.
Detail-oriented and with outstanding strategic, analytical, financial literacy, creative, problem solving and presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience, labour relations, negotiating skills, board relations a plus.
Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
