In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Accounting team, Credit Card Reconciliation team, and Financial Planning & Analysis team to compile, analyze, and report financial data, including metrics on credit card charges and monthly financials.
You will also assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities: Analyze monthly credit card transactions to identify trends, patterns, and any irregularities.
Monitor actual credit card spending against budget and forecast, providing insights for corrective actions.
Prepare monthly financial metrics and trend reports related to credit card spending and usage.
Support monthly financial reporting and analysis, focusing on revenue, expenses, and profit results.
Assist in weekly cash reporting and cash flow projections to ensure financial stability.
Conduct financial research to inform strategic decision-making and improve financial processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies in all reporting activities.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as necessary to support overall financial objectives.
The Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
At least 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
Proven experience in financial analysis, with a strong understanding of financial metrics.
Highly skilled in Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) accounting system is preferred.
Familiarity with government contracts/projects is a plus.
Strong analytical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Willing to work in Nairobi County, Kenya.
