We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactiveGeneral Assistantto support our weighbridge operations. This position is essential to ensure accuracy in vehicle weight verification and compliance with weighbridge procedures. The successful candidate will assist in directing vehicles, capturing essential data, and supporting other operational team members to maintain efficient and compliant weighbridge functions.
Requirements
Educational Background:Minimum grade of C- (Minus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent.
Experience:At least 3 years as a clerk or in a similar support role within a technical facility or project.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in computer applications.
Regulatory Compliance:Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, with a certificate of good conduct.

Responsibilities
Vehicle Guidance:Direct vehicles onto the weighbridge scale and ensure proper axle positioning before weight assignment.
Data Verification:Assist Computer Operators in accurately recording vehicle details, including registration numbers, transporter information, and axle configurations, in line with weighbridge protocols.
Compliance Monitoring:Work closely with the Traffic Police Officers to report and document any violations or non-compliance with weighbridge instructions.
Overload Documentation:Ensure that overloaded trucks are directed to the designated yard and their details are correctly documented.
Wide Load Support:Aid Vehicle Inspectors in measuring and inspecting wide loads for accurate assessment.
System Operation Support:Be prepared to step in for the Computer Operator Weighing when required.
Additional Duties:Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to support smooth operations.
