The overall responsibility involves managing the IT department and ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure is functioning efficiently and effectively. The Head of IT is responsible for leading the IT team and ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to carry out their responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Providing technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Managing the company's network infrastructure, including configuring routers and switches, monitoring network performance, and ensuring network security.
Maintaining custom applications that support the company's business processes.
Managing the company's databases, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and data security.
Managing the servers, including installing and configuring operating systems, managing user accounts, and ensuring system security.
Assisting with procuring hardware and software for the company, including researching options, negotiating with vendors, and managing the purchasing process.
Training end-users on how to use new hardware and software, as well as providing ongoing training to ensure that users are using technology effectively and efficiently.
Developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including managing projects,
troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that systems are functioning optimally.
Ensuring that the organization's technology infrastructure is secure from external and internal threats.
Managing the IT staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
Developing and managing the IT department's budget, ensuring that expenditures are in line with the company's financial goals.
Staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the IT industry, and identifying opportunities to improve the organization's IT infrastructure.
Working with other departments to ensure that the IT infrastructure supports their needs and helps them achieve their objective
Maintenance of the physical office access system and grant users rights as approved by HR or Head of Administration
Any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor or management from time to time
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or its equivalent
At least 5 years' experience in IT leadership
Prior experience in investment industry is preferred
Relevant certifications: CISM, CISA, or similar certification
Demonstrated proficiency in Cybersecurity and IT Risk Management
Excellent knowledge of managing Enterprise Systems
Ability to handle complex IT support issues with minimal disruption of services
