The Hospital Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively. They will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the delivery of healthcare services, as well as managing the hospital's financial and human resources. The administrator will ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards, and policies. They will work closely with medical staff, nurses, and other administrative personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the hospital, including clinical, non-clinical, and support services to ensure quality patient care.
Financial Management: Prepare and manage the hospital's budget, control expenditures, and monitor financial performance to ensure sustainability.
Human Resource Management: Lead and supervise hospital staff, including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and discipline in collaboration with the HR department.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies in line with the hospital's goals and objectives.
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure that the hospital complies with all national and local regulations, health and safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
Facility Management: Oversee maintenance and improvement of the hospital's facilities and equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
Patient Experience: Collaborate with medical staff to continuously improve patient care, ensure patient satisfaction, and address complaints or concerns effectively.
Public Relations: Serve as the liaison between the hospital and the community, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to maintain a positive image.
Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control programs to maintain high standards in healthcare delivery and patient safety.
Technology Integration: Promote the use of technology to improve hospital services, such as health information systems, telemedicine, and electronic medical records.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in healthcare management, hospital administration, or a related field.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hospital operations, healthcare laws and regulations in Kenya, budgeting, and healthcare technology.
