Job Purpose
The Human Resource Officer will manage the day-to-day human resources operations at the Institution. This includes interpreting and applying HR policies, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, and facilitating the implementation of internal processes and systems. The HR Officer will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative, client-oriented environment, promoting high staff morale, and ensuring an efficient and effective workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall Institution's strategy
Manage recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain top talent, including managing job postings, screening applicants, and conducting interviews
Develop and implement onboarding programs for new hires
Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Oversee performance management processes, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
Organize training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career development
Manage compensation and benefits programs
Coordinate and supervise administrative staff and their activities
Handle all HR correspondence, documentation, and record-keeping
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or equivalent from a recognized University
Minimum 5 years postgraduation experience in a similar position
Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management
Professional Certification (CHRP -K)
