Job SpecificationsThis is the entry and training grade for degree holders in this cadre. An officer at thislevel will work under the guidance of a senior officer.Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in:Coding, testing, and implementing computer programsRepairing ICT equipment and associated peripheralsReceiving and installing ICT equipmentConfiguring new ICT equipmentConfiguring and testing computer hardware and software including network appliancesInstalling server software and upgrading existing serversPerforming routine backupsWebsite maintenanceSetting up and maintaining applications including Email, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and databaseManaging helpdesk applications and generating quarterly reportsInstalling necessary hardware and software upgrades into ICT networksDocumenting and complying with ICT standards and Quality Management SystemsMonitoring network performanceMaintaining support systems and training end users on emerging technologiesPerson Specifications:Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institutionFulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the ConstitutionSkills and Competencies:Interpersonal relationship skillsAnalytical skillsReport writing skillsCommunication skillsAbility to work in a team
