Duties:
Support the preparations for the resumed third session of the ad hoc open-ended working group on a science-policy panel to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution (OEWG 3.2) - Assist in awareness raising/information sharing activities, such as drafting of web content, fact sheets etc.
Assist with other related tasks as appropriate.
Topic 2 – SPP stakeholder database, with the following duties: - Support the development of an SPP stakeholder database.
Assist in managing and monitoring the SPP stakeholder database.
Assist with other related tasks as appropriate.
Topic 3 - Data integration platform on chemicals and pollution, with the following duties:
Support the development of a data integration platform on chemicals and pollution, including conducting desk research, data collection and information completion and integration. - Collaborate with existing platforms working on similar topics or with similar objectives
Assist with other related tasks as appropriate.
Qualifications/special skills
UNEP is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development with the United Nations System and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher),
be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's equivalent).
Preferred Area of Study in environmental sciences, data analysis, engineering, computer science or a related field is required. Fully proficient computer skills and use of web-based platforms and relevant software e.g. word processing, PowerPoint, excel, internal databases, Internet etc. Preference may be given to Master's candidates.
