About the job: We are looking for a QA engineer to help us shape and build the future of our tools and products in the payments area.
You will help us to create and maintain a set of manual and automation test suites for our web applications and restful APIs.
It's a green field project so you can expect to work with cutting edge technologies.
It's a multicultural and geographically distributed team where most of the communication is happening online using audio and video conferencing tools.
The role will require a certain level of flexibility as your teammates may be working in different time zones primarily in Europe and Philippines.
What you will be getting up to: Working as part of the development team to provide technical expertise and support in terms of automation and manual testing Ability to understand, analyse, evaluate and act upon business requirements.
Identify components to be tested and define rapid and pragmatic fit for purpose testing in alignment with the rest of development teams.
Follow best practices, promote industry standards and ensure our products are reliable with an excellent user experience.
Knowledge of business requirements and their impact on delivery, identify and work together with a business analyst to gather missing requirements.
Execute software quality assurance testing via performance and automation tools.
Gather, analyse and summaries test results.
Be flexible to support your applications outside of working hours during major sport events (in rota with your peers and team mates) or during releases that happen outside of standard working hours.
Requirements: Degree in a relevant field (computer science or engineering) or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of fundamental programming concepts and experience with OOP languages.
Ability and willingness to continuously learn software quality assurance practices, follow established processes, and provide input to help evolve current practices and procedures.
Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
Detail oriented and an independent thinker.
Excellent command of the English language - written and spoken.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills Desirable skills and experience : Experience as a QA performing manual and automated test cases in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in testing web applications frontend with using Playwright or Cypress, alternatively Selenium Web Driver or Appium (script development and execution).
Experience in manual and automated testing with RESTful Web Services using any of following tools: SOAPUI, Postman, Insomnia, Rest Assured, Karate or JMeter.
Experience in an Agile software development lifecycle.
Experience with Agile planning and defect management tools.
Experience with Test case development and management tools.
