Laboratory Technician At Nairobi Women'S Hospital

Nairobi Women's Hospital is a leading healthcare provider committed to offering excellent diagnostic and medical services. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Mombasa branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and timely.
Collect, prepare, and analyze samples following standard operating procedures.
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring regular calibration and servicing.
Document and report test results promptly and accurately.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Monitor inventory levels and notify the Laboratory In-Charge of required supplies.
Assist in quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain high testing standards.
Handle biohazard materials safely, adhering to established protocols.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
At least 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting.
Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures.

Key Skills:
Attention to detail and high accuracy in testing.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and practices.
