Electrical Technician Job Description:
Perform preventive maintenance on electromechanical systems and equipment.
Identify electrical issues, diagnose faults, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
Install, modify, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, control panels, and electrical equipment.
Repair or replace faulty electrical and electronic components and systems.
Ensure timely completion of repair tasks to minimize equipment downtime.
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
Work closely with other technicians, operators and contractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
Assist in the installation of upgrades or new systems to improve efficiency or comply with updated regulations.
Recommend improvements to existing systems and electrical components to enhance performance and safety.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, schedules, and parts inventory.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Diploma or higher in electrical and electronics engineering from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting for at least 2 years.
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
Proactive problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
